Update on Kellan for those of the friends and family who are wondering what the conclusion is. We had partial blood tests results in over a week ago, read more on that here.
Pediatrician called after she got back into town with the rest of the results. Celiac's disease, and other viral infections which cause inflammatory issues, all came back negative. RA factor came back negative. (whew!) Leukemia and platelet issues all look fine according to the pathologist.
The thing of concern was the ANA panel, yeilding results much higher than even expected during an illness period. (Antinuclear antibodies- where the antibodies attack the body instead of illnesses.)
We took him in 2 weeks after the most recent illness, but it was still elevated, which is not normal. It could be because of back to back illnesses for him, taking a long time to recoup. But it could also be indicating a gastrointestinal disease or Lupus.
So for now, we keep a diary of different symptoms of different environmental reasons, then follow up the ANA panel a month from the first one. If it's still elevated then it's concernable for Lupus. If his other complaints can be figured out (like tummy hurting, and joint pain/fatigue) it may be gastrointestinal. This is a mystery that's for sure. Hopefully we're close to figuring it out soon.

I'm glad you can at least start ruling things out.
